Cracker Barrel Restaurants are great when you need home cooked style comfort food. Especially when traveling. Been to a bunch around the country, always good. The CB here in Durham is no exception. I ordered online, my food was ready when I got there, still hot when I got to my room and delicious.

When the fireplace is crackling it's a warm cozy place, with deliciousness that you must taste, be sure to drink a cup of tea so you stay up all night and pee! Sometimes the catfish is really good but I think it tastes better at "the house fish and crab" down in the hood by Central University where the food is really good. The carrot cake was blazing amazing but it got deleted, probably by an ageusia who tweeted. The servings are getting smaller and the waitresses taller, occasionally you will get waited on by a footballer, the service is usually great but they do not have an all you can eat plate.

Just left was one of the greatest day just for lunch, our server was Jasmine The lady was awesome, very attentive, care about our health made sure we had full glasses, she did a job well done! Jazzy if your reading this KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB YOUR DOING! I just love the way you took care of us.

I do pickup orders all the time and love their app! Also love eating in her, just not on Saturday or Sunday morning ... Those days will be a long wait. This is an edit. I'm taking from 4 stars to 2. I place online to go orders about once a week. There usually is about a 10 min difference in when the order is ready and when it says it will be ready on my confirmation email. Today my order was placed online at 6:22. According to my confirmation my order should have been ready by 6:43. My order was brought out to me at 7: 05 with no explanation or apology for the long wait.

We had a party of 11 and the restaurant was not busy at all. Had one waitress for our table and another table. Two waitresses were standing at kitchen doorway doing nothing but laughing and talking. Manager was in corner eating. After sitting there 15 minutes we finally got menus. Then one of the two waitresses came and took order. Food was overcooked. We eat at cracker barrels more than any other restaurant. This may just have been a bad night but very unusual for a cracker barrel. Just surprised manager didn't do anything about helping waitress.
